Membership is open to individuals, organizations, or firms interested in research and application, instruction, or extension in animal science or associated with the production, processing, marketing, or distribution of livestock and livestock products. Membership is based on the calendar year (January 1 through December 31).

Membership Categories
Full Membership: For qualified animal scientists with [specific academic qualifications, e.g., B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. in Animal Science or related fields] and [professional experience, if any].
Associate Membership: For individuals with an interest in animal science or related fields who may not meet the full membership criteria.
Student Membership: For undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing animal science or related disciplines.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS FOR BECOMING A MEMBER OF ANIMAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (ASAN)
- Must possess a First Degree Certificate in any of the Animal science discipline.
- Obtain membership form through our website on (asan.org.ng) → down load form); fill appropriately and attach all the underlisted documents to the form
- A copy of your First Degree Certificate (include your transcript if you obtained a Agric. certificate or have a foreign degree certificate)
- Payment teller of NGN 37,500 which is to be paid into the Association’s bank account as indicated on the attached Membership Form.
- Breakdown:
- Membership Processing Fee – NGN 15,000
- Annual Due – NGN 20000
- One (1) recent passport photograph.
- Marriage Certificate or Change of Name Certificate (as applicable).
- Submit to the Association (through surface post or electronic mail) with the postal address and e-mail addresses shown on the form below.
